Beulah Ratcliff, 91, Webster City, died Friday, Sept. 8, 2000 at the Hamilton Hospital. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Foster Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Morgan and Cindi O'Brien officiating. Burial will be in the Cass Township Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-9 p.m. Monday and prior to the services on Tuesday.

Beulah F. Bige, daughter of Ollie and Alice Allen Biggs [this is a typo in the obituary - the correct name is Bige] was born March 17, 1909 at Woolstock. She was reared and educated in Woolstock. On June 18, 1931 she married Jake K. Ratcliff. The couple lived in the Webster City area where they were engaged in farming. In 1951 they moved to a farm three miles east of Eagle Grove where they farmed until retirement in 1970. They then moved to Webster City. Mr. Ratcliff died in 1984.

Survivors are her two sons and daughters-in-law, Vernon and Viola Ratcliff, Bruce and Sandy Ratcliff, all of Webster City, three daughters and sons-in-law, Phyllis and Wayne Dohrmann, Manson, Carolyn Sanders, Webster City, Linda and Tom Devitt, Minnetonka, Minn., seven grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren; one sister, Velma Vernon, Anamosa, three sisters-in-law, Hazel Ratcliff and Edna Ratcliff, both of Webster City, Betty Hill, Fort Dodge; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by three brothers, Harold, Cecil and Martin Bige, and a sister, Ruth Brown.

Mrs. Ratcliff was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church, an active volunteer for Webster City Congregate Meals for seven years, active in church circles at Asbury, and a former KYN Club member at Eagle Grove.
