Thursday, November 29, 1990Anna M. Merrill, 76, Manson, a former Webster City resident, died Tuesday afternoon, Nov. 27, at the Good Samaritan Care Center in Manson. Funeral services will be held Friday, Nov. 30 at 10:30 a.m. at the Foster Funeral Home in Webster City, Rev. Jan R. Burnett officiating. Burial will be in the Graceland Cemetery in Webster City. Visitation at the funeral home is until service time on Friday.
Anna Marie Lacy, daughter of Charles and Mabel (Hope) Lacy, was born May 19, 1914 in Webster City, where she graduated from high school. She married William Merrill on Oct. 15, 1932 in Missouri. The couple resided in Webster City, where Mrs. Merrill was employed as a bookkeeper for the city of Webster City. She was preceded in death by her husband in January 1976. She retired in 1979, and for the past nine months, had resided in Manson.
She is survived by two sons, William C. Merrill, Ames and Duane Merrill, Denver, Colo.; a daughter, Beverly (Mrs. Ronald) Ostrander, Manson; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a sister, Evelyn Burnett, Webster City; and two half-sisters, Charlotte Brown, Keota and Rosemary Kastler, Clear Lake.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers.
Mrs. Merrill was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church of Webster City.
