According to "History of Floyd County 1882," page 1136-1137, John Voelker b.1830 in Prussia;immigrated to Watertown, Jefferson County, Wisconsin and then to Union Township, Floyd County, Iowa in 1872 and died, May 6, 1874. According to the website there are only death records 1880 and beyond. He left behind his wife, Elizabeth Shaifer Voelker who remarried to a Charles Herz. John Voelker and Elizabeth had the following children:Edward G. d. 1879. Emma C (according to a family tree-b. 12 Oct. 1862, d. 19 Sept. 1896 at home in Ulster Township, married conrad Simon Dusenberg on 2 June 1887). William L. Ellen L. Frank F. and Lydia A. One child was born to Elizabeth and Charles Herz, Rosa M.
I am missing a John Voelker from Watertown, Jefferson County, Wisconsin and trying to determine if this is him and if so what happened to the rest of his children. I've received no response from the poster of Emma C. Voelker family tree, yet. If anybody knows anything about this family I would appreciate hearing from you.
