BANKSTON, Iowa -- 82, of 27826 New Vienna Road, Bankston, died at 7:50 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 8, 2011, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 13, at St. Clement's Catholic Church, Bankston, with the Rev. Dennis Cain officiating. Burial will be in St. Clement's Cemetery, Bankston. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Monday, Sept. 12, at Reiff Funeral Home, Farley, where there will be a wake service at 1:30 p.m.

Rosemary was born on Aug. 24, 1929, in Bankston, daughter of Benedict "Ben" and Kathleen M. (Hall) Heiberger. She was a graduate of the former St. Clement's High School in Bankston.

She married Sylvester C. "Vessie" Pins on Sept. 20, 1949, at St. Clement's Catholic Church in Bankston. The couple farmed in the rural Bankston area. He preceded her in death on Aug. 22, 2004.

She was a member of St. Clement's Parish in Bankston, and a member of its Altar and Rosary Society.

Rosemary was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She enjoyed her family, especially going to her children and grandchildren's sporting events. She was an avid fan of Western Dubuque wrestling. She also loved to play cards with friends and family.

Surviving are six children, Mary Sue (Gene) Schultz, of Earlville, Donald (Kim) Pins, of Dubuque, Nancy (Ron) Drees, of Earlville, Janet (Joe) Kluesner, of Bankston, Tom (Carrie) Pins and Mark (Barb) Pins, both of Dubuque; grandchildren, Allison Schultz, Melissa (Dan) Schultz, Brian (Tiffany) Pins and Rachel Pins, Kaitlyn (Joe) Lilly, Jeremy (Danyelle) Drees, Jayme and Danny Drees, Kristin (Matt) Kluesner, Kevin, Michael, Amy, Ryan and Luke Kluesner, Joseph, Megan and Mitchell Pins, Max, Sam and Gus Pins; three great-grandchildren, Charlie, Rylan and Nolan; a brother, John (Jean) Heiberger, of Epworth, Iowa; three sisters, Elaine Klein, of Dubuque, Eleanor (Celestine) Sigwarth, of Balltown, Iowa, and Loyola Morgan, of National City, Calif.; brothers and sisters-in-law, Germain "Jerry" (Eileen) Pins, of Dubuque, Ambrose (Duanne) Pins and Clement (Betty) Pins, both of Bankston, Mary Jane Kluesner, of Dyersville, and Ann (Merle) Johnson, of Sherrill; many nieces, nephews and godchildren.

She also was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Marie, in infancy; a granddaughter, Becky Drees; three brothers-in-law, Francis Kluesner, Howard Morgan and Emmett Klein; and a sister-in-law, Eileen Heiberger.
