David Frances Kutsch 1948-2014

David Frances Kutsch, 65, of Pleasant Grove, Ala., formerly of Dubuque, passed away at home surrounded by his family and friends on Sunday, Jan. 5, 2014.

Committal services will be held at noon Wednesday, Jan. 15, in the chapel at Mount Calvary Cemetery, Dubuque.

Dave was born on Feb. 22, 1948, in Dubuque, son of George and Elinor (Gorman) Kutsch. Dave graduated from Senior High School, then enlisted in the Air Force and served for 22 years and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. After retiring from the USAF as a master sergeant, he worked for the FAA as an air traffic controller at the Birmingham International Airport for 11 years, from where he retired in 2000. He enjoyed working on cars, fast pitch softball and was an avid fan of the Alabama Crimson Tide.

His memory will be cherished by his sons, David K. (Janet) Kutsch and Jeremy C. Kutsch, and his much loved grandson, Tyson; his sister, Barbara Trierweiler, of Galena, Ill.; six brothers, Thomas (Roberta) Kutsch, Richard Kutsch and Patrick (Dorothy Schroeder) Kutsch, Michael Kutsch, Robert (Brenda) Kutsch; and many nieces and nephews, whom he though the world of.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, James R. Kutsch; and a sister-in-law, Connie (Dunne) Kutsch.
