James Everett Horn II

James Everett Horn II, 47, of Cleveland, Ohio, formerly of Burlington, died at 4 p.m. Wednesday, April 17, 1991, at Burlington Medical Center.

Born June 13, 1943, in Mount Union, he was the son of Dale and Lucille Willson Horn. He married Shelia Dumse Aug. 31, 1968, in Pleasant Grove.

He was a graduate of Yarmouth High School and served in the Marine Air Corps during the Vietnam War. He was a unit manager at General Electric in Burlington for 19 1/2 years and for the past three years he had worked at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio. He was a member of the VFW Post 7641 in New London.

Surviving are one daughter, Shelly Horn, Cleveland, Ohio; one son, James Horn III, Burlington; his parents, Mrs. and Mrs. Dale Horn, Mount Union; his grandmother, Orva Horn, New London; one brother, Robert Horn, Burlington; three sisters, Marjorie Horn, Cleveland, Ohio, Mary Hockett, West Burlington, and Nancy Kester, Burlington.

Friends may call from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Friday at the Elliott Chapel in New London.

The service for Mr. Horn will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Elliott Chapel with the Rev. Jane Mueller officiating. Burial will be in Burlington Memorial Park Cemetery with military rites by VFW Post 7641 of New London.

Memorials have been established for the Burlington Medical Center and the Mediapolis Rescue Squad.
