Delores Lavine

Delores "Dee" Lavine, 46, of 1705 Olive St., died Thursday, Aug. 20, 1987, at Burlington Medical Center.

Born June 25, 1941, in Burlington, she was the daughter of Perry and Esther Lucas Hummer. She married Richard P. Lavine March 18, 1962, in Burlington.

She was a bookkeeper for A. Y. McDonald's and was a member of the St. John United Church of Christ and the Hall of Fame of the Burlington Area Women's Bowling Association.

Surviving are her husband; two daughters, Mrs. Kele Harris, Burlington, and Mrs. Karen Wathem, Des Moines; three sisters, Mrs. Darlene Wagler, Mrs. Geraldine Kranzler and Mrs. Roma Duncan, all of Burlington; two brothers, Bernard Hummer, Burlington, and Wayne Hummer, Lincoln, Neb.; and four grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Sunday at the Lunning Chapel.

The service for Mrs. Lavine will be 1 p.m. Monday at the Lunning Chapel with Rev. Duane Cavins officiating. Interment will be in St. John Cemetery.

A memorial has been established.
