Jolene May Walker Roberts, 62, of Burlington, Iowa, died at 7:55 a.m. Sunday, march 21, 1999, at University Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.

Born may 30, 1936 in Burlington, Iowa, she was the daughter of Paul Van and Josephine Timmerman Walker. On May 5, 1954 she married M. Gene Roberts in Burlington, Iowa.

Mrs. Roberts was a partner with her husband in Robert's Upholstery in Burlington.

She was a member and past president of Corse School PTA, a den mother of Pack Eight Cub Scouts, and member and Sunday School Teacher at Zion United Church of Christ, all of Burlington.

Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Paulette Upton of Burlington and Teresa Cleveland of West Des moines; one son, Bruce Roberts of Burlington; seven grandchildren; three sisters, Paula Lucas and Shirley Greiner, both of Burlington, and Maedean Osborn of Blue Grass; nieces; nephews; aunts and uncles.

Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in Prugh's Chapel.

The funeral for Mrs. Roberts will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in Zion United Church of Christ, with the Rev. Gary Chapman officiation. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery.

Memorials have been established for Zion United Church of Christ and the Helen Rossi Guest house at the university of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.
