John Scheihing

John Scheihing, 73, of 2705 Bock, died Wednesday afternoon (July 6,1960) in Mercy hospital.

He was born here on April 5, 1887, the son of Fred and Elizabeth Roemer Scheihing. On May 14, 1921, he married Jessie Izer here.

Scheihing was a member of the Latty church and Moose lodge. He farmed many years in the Latty area and was a landscape gardener here the past seven years.

Surviving are his wife; five children, Rodney Neal of St. Charles, Mo., Isadore Martin of Davenport, Mrs. Margaret McCune of Rt. 3, Richard Neal of Sperry and Mrs. Barbara Breuer of Galesburg, Ill.; a brother, Albert of Wapello; four sisters, Mrs. Emma Walker and Mrs. Anna Heckenberg of Burlington, Mrs. Mathilda Fink of Prairie Grove, and Mrs. Julia McAllister of Eldora, and several nieces and nephews. His parents and a sister are dead.

Services will be held in the Latty church at 2 p.m. Saturday, the Rev. Paul Daussman officiating. Burial will be in the Latty cemetery. The body is at the Elliott-Lunning chapel.
