Wilbur Poggemiller, Sr. .

Wilbur Poggemiller, Sr., 83, died in Mediapolis Care Center at 12:25 a.m. Monday, December 5.

Born at Burlington, August 15, 1894, he was the son of Fred and Maude Bolick Poggemiller. He married Alice Fye December 23, 1914 at Yarmouth; she died in 1973. He was a retired farmer and carpenter and a member of First Church of the Nazarene, Burlington.

Surviving: Son, Wilbur Jr., Wapello, three daughters, Maxine Metzger and Delores Black, both of Morning Sun, and Guyla Linder, Wapello; 11 grandchldren; 11 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; two step-grandchildren; two brothers, Rall, Mesa, Ariz., and Everett, New London; and four sisters, Dororthy Mauthe, West Burlington, and Grace Bock, Rachel Gladman, and Esther Thomas, all of Burlington.

Funeral was 1:30 p.m.Wednesday, December 7, Fry Chapel; Kossuth cemetery. A memorial has been established.
