Mrs. R. B. Walker Dies Saturday

Mrs. R. B. Walker, 82, died at 7:00 a.m. Saturday, November 19, (1966) at her home here.

Mary Olive, daughter of Addison L. and Lyle (Eliza) Griffith Berry, was born at Dodgeville November 18, 1884. She was married August 30, 1947 at Kahoka, Mo. to R. B. Walker, (Richard Bates Walker) who preceded her February 28, 1962. For the past 19 years, she had resided here. She was a member of the Methodist church at Sperry.

Services were held Tuesday afternoon at 2:00 in the Elliott Chapel with the Rev. Clarence Morrison officiating. K. Collins, organist, accompanied Ralph Eckey, who sang two selections, "Whispering Hope" and "Just A Closer Walk With Thee." Bearers were Ronald Dean, George Miller, Robert Hand, Kenneth Brown, William Heitmeier and Howard Baker. Interment was in Kossuth cemetery, Mediapolis.

Mrs. Walker is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Edd (Dorothy) Miller, Danville, and Mrs. Annabelle Dean, 3075 Sunnyside, Burlington, and a son, Edgar L. Miller, San Antonio, Tex.; also the following step children: Gilbert Walker, Biggsville, Ill., Albert Walker, Blue Grass, Iowa, Laverne Walker, St. Louis, Mo., Corwyn Walker, New London, Wayne Walker, Burlington, Mrs. Robert Miller, Danville, and Mrs. Robert Westfall, Burlington, also 25 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; a brother, William E. Berry, Morning Sun, and two sisters, Mrs. Anna Baker, Sperry, and Mrs. Edith Pohren, Phoenix, Ariz.

Five brothers, Jim, Addison, Horace, Morris, and Edward are deceased.
