MEDIAPOLIS - Edna A. Lucas, 85, Mediapolis, died Saturday, Feb. 13, at her home.

She was born Feb. 7, 1897, at Des Moines County, to Frederick Schmidt and Rosa Pietzsch. She married Clarence Lucas, Dec. 16, 1920, at Des Moines County.

Mrs. Lucas was a housewife and member of St. John's United Church of Christ and Garden Club of Mediapolis.

Surviving: one daughter, Mrs. Marjorie Ehlers, Burlington; two sons, Eldon F., Glendale, Ariz., and Keith M. , Phoenix, Ariz.; four brothers, Robert Schmidt, Mt. Pleasant, Raymond Schmidt, rural Burlington, Ralph Schmidt, Morning Sun, Paul Schmidt, Wapello; two sisters, Mrs. Pearl Burgess, West Burlington, Mrs. Emma Graham, Davenport; 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Funeral: 1 p.m. Tuesday, Lunning Chapel, the Rev. Eugene Schmidt; Memorial Park Cemetery. A memorial has been established.
