Carol Jean Vanderburg, 62, of Oklahoma City, passed away January 25, 2009. She was born January 11, 1947, in Burlington, Iowa, to Evert and Lavina Wallentine.
Carol worked at the State Office Building in Topeka, KS, while attending Washburn College. On August 7, 1971, she married Dennis Vanderburg. They had 3 children, Major David Dennis Vanderburg and wife Amy of Ramstein Air Force Base in Germany, Dr. Nikko Jean Vanderburg of Fayetteville, NC, and Denny Gene Vanderburg of Norman, OK. She has 2 grandchildren, Abigail and Caleb Vanderburg siblings, Jerry Wallentine of Topeka, KS, Gail McGaugh of Henderson, TX, and, Patti Stirrett of Topeka, KS.
Services: Friday, January 30, 2009, at First Southern Baptist Church, Oklahoma City, 6400 S. Sooner, with interment to follow at Ft. Sill National Cemetery.
