Arthur Sperfslage

Arthur Sperfslage, 80, of Community Care of Mediapolis, formerly of Sperry, died at 5:50 p.m. Tuesday, June 24, 1997, at the care center.

Born Jan. 13, 1917, in Sperry, he was the son of Henry and Elisa Eickhoff Sperfslage.

Mr. Sperfslage was a 1935 graduate of Sperry High School. He was a farmer in the Sperry area.

Survivors include two sisters, Frieda Dameron of New London and Marie Hoffer of Sperry.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, five sisters, one half-sister, one step-sister and one stepbrother.

Visitation will be from 8 a.m. until 9 p.m. today at Lunning Chapel, where the family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. until time of service on Friday.

The funeral for Mr. Sperfslage will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Lunning Chapel, with the Rev. Shirley Bliven officiating. Burial will be in Burlington Memorial Park Cemetery.

A memorial has been established.
