F. BROCKWAY FUNERAL RITES
Services Held Friday Morning From Kingston
M. E. Church.

Kingston, Ia., Feb. 22. – Funeral services for Mr. Frank Brockway, 66, who passed away at his home Tuesday afternoon, February 18th, were held at the Kingston M. E. church Friday morning at 11 o’clock preceding a short service at the home.

The regular pastor, Rev. Smith, officiated. A male quartet composed of Russell and Ross Mellinger, Earl Smith and James Duncan, all of Oakville, sang.

The casket bearers were: Henry Hussel, William Walker, James Walker, Thomas Stapleton, Frank Stapleton and S. L. Ping, friends of the deceased.

Mr. Brockway was the son of Josiah and Mary (Harrington) Brockway, born near Denmark, October 29, 1863. He was united in marriage to Esther Gardon (Gordon) on October 7, 1886. To this union were born five children, who with the widow, survive. They are as follows: Mrs. Claude Sheridan, Fred and Arthur, of Oakville; Harley and Frank Jr., of this vicinity. He is also survived by fourteen grandchildren and the following brothers and sisters: William, Mrs. Anna Dietrick, Mrs. Fannie Hinson, of Burlington; Mrs. Dora Pforts, of Mediapolis; Mrs. Nellie Avery, Mrs. Ada Rutter, John, Harry and Lynas.

He was a charter member of the local order of M. W. A. and a pioneer resident of this vicinity. He and his wife went to housekeeping forty-four years ago on the same farm where he passed away.

He was laid to rest in the Kossuth cemetery.
