Fred Duncan

Fred E. Duncan, 73, of 418 Sweeney Ave., Burlington, died Friday, Oct. 6, 1995, at his home.

Born Jan. 1, 1922, at Stronghurst, Ill., he was the son of Harvey and Stella Cox Duncan. He married Roma Hummer June 21, 1965, in Burlington.

Mr. Duncan had worked at Niehaus Motor for 17 years and later was a self-employed mechanic. He was a veteran of World War II, of the Protestant faith and a member of the Moose Lodge. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Survivors include his wife; one son, Douglas Duncan of Olethe, Kan.; one brother, Harold Duncan of Stronghurst, Ill.; and two sisters, Ollie Ferguson of Red Bluff, Calif., and Barbara Lawyer of Hiawassee, Ga.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Sunday at the Sheagren Funeral Home.

The funeral for Mr. Duncan will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Sheagren Funeral Home, with the Rev. Dean Moberg officiating. Burial will be in the Stronghurst Cemetery.

A memorial has been established.
