Doyle E. Ping, son of Mr. and Mrs. Bolen Ping, was born near Sperry, Iowa, on September 26, 1904. He spent his entire life in this vicinity. On April 14, 1934, he was united in marriage to Miss Meta Hadler. He passed away on February 17, 1941. He is survived by his wife, his parents, Mrs. and Mrs. Bolen Ping of Mediapolis, four brothers, Horace of Mediapolis, Ferrel, of Burlington, Cecil of Prophetstown, Ill. and Lester of West Liberty, three sisters, Mrs. Jack Sharer of Mediapolis, Mrs. Orville Gibson of Mediapolis and Miss Elizabeth Ping of Burlington.
Funeral services were held at the Sperry Methodist Church at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, February 19, 1941, with services conducted by Dr. R. R. Belter. Interment was in Memorial Park cemetery.
