Matilda Ann Cockayne was born March 28, 1856 in Flint River Township, Des Moines County and died July 16, 1901, aged 45 years, 3 months, 18 days. She was married to S.B. Tucker. To this union four sons were born: Edward, William, Rolly, and Harvey. Besides her husband and sons, there are four brothers and three sisters to mourn her loss. They are John Cockayne of Kansas, Sam and Art of Winfield, and Jasper of Yarmouth, Mrs. Wm. Wolverton of Texas, Mrs. G.W. Riffel of Dodgeville, Mrs. S. Beere of California. Those present are Sam, Jasper, Art, and Caroline.
Mrs. Tucker has been a great sufferer for a number of years and has been rapidly failing for the past few weeks.
The funeral will be today at 10 o'clock at the home with interment being at Old Stone.
