Paul A. Eibes, 95, of Burlington, died at 2:50 p.m. Tuesday, May 31, 2005, at Great River Medical Center in West Burlington.

Born November 29, 1909, in Kingston, he was the son of Joseph J. and Clementine Panther Eibes.

Mr. Eibes worked for Lehigh-Leopold for 23 years as a packer before retirement.

He was a member of SS Mary and Patrick Catholic Church. He was a World War II Army Medical Corps Veteran. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and hickory nuts.

Survivors include two sisters, Mabel Helscher of Keota and Wilma Erbland of Burlington; one brother, Raymond Eibes of Burlington; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters and five brothers.

There will be no visitation. According to his wishes, his body has been cremated.

The memorial Mass for Mr. Eibes will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at SS Mary and Patrick Catholic Church, with the Rev. Gerald Stouvenel officiating. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery.

A memorial has been established for St. Vincent de Paul Society.
