Dehner Rites To Be Saturday

Resident of Burlington Many Years
Dies at Hospital - Hip Broken in Fall May 11

Funeral services for Mrs. J. Paul Dehner, 80 of 1004 Mt. Pleasant street, resident of Burlington most of her hife, who died at St. Francis hospital yesterday morning, will be held at St. John's Catholic church at 9 o'clock Saturday morning. Burial will be in Sacred Heart cemetery.

Mrs. Dehner has been a patient at the hospital since May 11, when she sustained a fractured hip in a fall at her home.

Her maiden name was Christina Haller and she was born in Buffalo, N.Y., April 23, 1852, and came to Burlington with her parents when she was seven years old. She was married to Mr. Dehner, May 16, 1871. Her husband and nine children survive.

The children are: Mrs. John Ertzinger, John Dehner, Mrs. William Rehman, Miss Anna Dehner, Lawrence A. Dehner, Mrs. John Soethe and Miss Leona Dehner, all of Burlington, Henry C. Dehner of Carman, Ill., and Mrs. Carl Denz of Chicago, Ill. Mrs. Dehner is survived also by one brother, John Haller of Burlington; 36 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

She was a member of St. John's church, the St. Francis Altar societies.

The body was taken to the residence from Unterkirchner's funeral home last night.
