Arno H. Peppmeyer

Burlington native Arno H. Peppmeyer, 79, of 1401 35th Rock Island, Ill., died Sunday, Oct. 30.

He was born June 15, 1904, to Henry and Martha Duebner Peppmeyer. He married Naomi G. Gilbert Dec. 25, 1934, in Burlington; she died June 21, 1983.

Mr. Peppmeyer was a machinist at the Rock Island Arsenal, retiring in 1969.

Surviving: son, Robert A., Rock Island; sister, Esther Hatch, Pacific Palisades, Calif.; three grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.

Funeral: 10 a.m. Thursday at Knox-Larson Funeral Home, Rock Isalnd, the Rev. Kenneth Kuenning; Aspen Grove cemetery in Burlington.
