Eugene A. Recker, 45, of Route 1, Manchester, died Thursday evening at Delaware County Memorial Hospital, Manchester.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Manchester, with burial in the church cemetery. Friends may call Sunday at Vernon Funeral Home in Manchester, where the scripture wake service will be at 8 p.m. Sunday.

Surviving are his wife, the former Betty Bildstein; three sons, Virgil, Tom and John, and five daughters, Linda, Mary, Carol, Holly and Shirley, all of Manchester; his parents Mr. and Mrs. John L. Recker of Dyersville, Iowa; two brothers, Philip of Hopkinton, Iowa, and Joseph of Dyersville, and four sisters, Mrs. James (Marion) Krogman of Lamont, Iowa, Mrs. Paul (Grace) Rahe of Dyersville, and Mrs. Charles (Lois) Taylor and Mrs. Ronald (Alice) Gudenkauf, both of New Vienna, Iowa.
