[2.] The Press, Manchester, IA, May 31, 1923:
"M. D. Hutson, one of the pioneer men of Delaware county, mourns the death of his sister, Mrs. T. L. Holmes, who passed away at the home of a daughter in Alta [IA] on May 27, 1923, at the age of 81 years. The body was brought to Manchester for burial, funeral services being held yesterday morning at the Baptist church, the Rev. C. G. Wright officiating. Mr. Hutson has the sympathy of his friends in this sorrow."
