Mrs Doris Berg
Mr. and Mrs. Earl Mesch and Mr. and Mrs. Donald Traver attended the funeral of Mrs. Doris Jo Welkimeyer Berg, 30, at Austin, Minn., Friday at 11 a.m. at the Queen of Angels church. She was a sister of Mrs. Mesch and a niece of the Travers.
Mrs. Berg was the daughter of Mrs. Myrtle Welkimeyer of Cedar Rapids and the late Walter Welkimeyer, former residents of Prairie township.
She had been ill with cancer for about a year following surgery.
She is survived by her husband, Richard; two sons; a daughter; six sisters and two brothers, Mrs. Dale (Dorothy) Lenton of Cedar Rapids, Mrs. Earl (Berniece) Mesch of Manchester, Mrs. Melvin (Mary) Frasher, Mrs. Elgie (Betty Lou) Olson, Mrs. David (Margaret) Berkel and Mrs Robert (Blanche) Johnson and Raymond Welkimeyer, all of Minnesota and Leo Welkimeyer of Texas.
