Colesburg: Mrs. Kenneth (Viola) Barnhart, 56, of Concord, Calif., formally of Colesburg, passed away suddenly Tuesday, June 30, in Concord.
Funeral services for Mrs. Barnhart were held at the Appleton funeral home at Edgewood at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, with Rev. Wilfred Robinson officiating. Burial was made in the family lot at the Guttenburg City cemetery.
Viola Fowler, daughter of George and Mary Ann Kuntz Fowler, was born in Galena, Ill., on Nov. 16, 1913. Most of her life as a youngster was spent in Dubuque where she received her education. She was married to Kenneth Barnhart Sept. 16, 1934, at Zion Methodist church. Much of their married life was spent in Louisiana and Oklahoma. They have lived in California for the last three years.
She is survived by her husband and one daughter, Darlene of Concord, California. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Lloyd.
