LeRoy C. Dixon
Masonville: LeRoy C. Dixon, 53, of Cedar Rapids passed away at his home there Friday, Oct. 10.
He was born Oct. 8, 1916, at Oelwein. He was married in 1938 to Georgene L. Kerns at Fairbank. Mr. Dixon served with the U. S. Army in Europe during World War II and earned three bronze stars. He was with the state highway commission for 23 years in the maintenance department. Mr. Dixon was a member of Immaculate Conception church in Cedar Rapids.
Surviving are his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Ronald Moroney; a son, Bernard Dixon of Cedar Rapids; two grandchildren; one sister, Neva Farmer of Oelwein, and one brother, Charles Dixon of Oelwein.
Funeral services were held Monday, Oct. 13, in the Immaculate Conception church with burial in Calvary cemetery.
