Buried Sunday
Died Oct. 3 in Ida Grove After Lingering Illness; Last Rites in Kiron

Funeral services were held at the Kiron Evangelical Free church for Mrs. Bert Loomer on Sunday afternoon, 6 Oct 1946. The Rev. John Hedlund of Arthur officiating, assisted by the Rev. Clayton Fredrick of Kiron. Music was furnished by the Arthur mined quartet who sang "That Wonderful Face", and the Nelson sisters of Kiron who sang "Only Glory By and By" with Mrs. Richard Gustafson, pianist. Pallbearers were Raymond Larson, Edner Larson, Guy Eckman, Clifford Larson, Eugene Larson and Bert Lindstrom. Interment was made at the Kiron cemetery.

Obituary

Pearl Patricia Buller was born in old Kiron on 15 November 1886 to Peter and Christine Buller, the oldest of twelve children. She died on 3 October 1946, at 3:40 a.m. at the Ida Grove hospital. She was at the Immanuel Lutheran hospital in Omaha for three weeks before being taken to Ida Grove. She was 59 years, 10 months and 17 days old at the time of her death.

Pearl attended grade school in old Kiron, and when old enough gave up her schooling to bear her part in helping at home, always making sacrifices for others.

Married in 1929
On 31 May 1929 she was united in marriage with Bert Loomer by Rev. R. R. Brown in Omaha. She was baptized in 1934 at Storm Lake. She has always attended the Evangelical Free church and has generously given her time, energy and means to the church circle. Generosity was the keynote of her life.

Surviving are her husband, Bert; two daughters, Gladys and Goldie (Mrs. Herbert Warner); and son Glennard, of Hawthorne, California; four sisters, Esther (Mrs. Emil Flodine), Omaha; Nettie (Mrs. E. L. Miller), Kiron; Julia (Mrs. S. S. Moorehouse) of Omaha; Nina (Mrs. William Quade) of Battle Creek; Lee, of Kiron, and Tenor of Hollywood, California; four grandchildren and many other relatives and a great host of friends.

Relatives from out of town included Mr. and Mrs. Emil Flodine, Genevieve Flodine, Mrs. Jewel E. Murray, Mrs. L. H. Morehouse, Mrs. Adeline Rabens, Mrs. F. F. Nordell, Mrs. Duke Ilich, Mrs. Amy Johnson, Mrs. Roy Swanson of Omaha; Mr. and Mrs. C. A. Bahnsen, Council Bluffs; Mr. and Mrs. L. M. Clauson and Boyd, Ames. Glennard and Gladys Loomer, Hawthorne, California, Mrs. Howard Purdy, Carnarvon; Mr. and Mrs. William Quade and Albin Buller, Battle Creek and Mr. and Mrs. Art Buller, St. Charles, Illinois and Guy Eckman of Sac City.
