Services Held In Kiron

KIRON...Nettie Christina Miller, daughter of Peter and Christina (Holmberg) Buller, was born 12 April 1895 near Kiron, Iowa. She received her education in rural schools. She was married to Enoch L. Miller 1 February 1922. They farmed for many years and in 1947 moved to Old Kiron to retire.

Mr. Miller died August 24, 1963. After several years of failing health, Mrs. Miller moved to Colonial Manors in Odebolt in July, 1971. In the middle of August, 1973, she was taken to the Crawford County hospital where she died Thursday, September 6, 1973.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Arthur, Albin, Ernest and Willie and two sisters, Pearl (Mrs. Bert Loomer) and Alva. Surviving is a daughter, Harriet, Mrs. Richard Quade and a son, Myron, both of Kiron. Also brothers Theodore of North Hollywood, California, and Lee of Denison and sisters Esther Flodine of Council Bluffs, Julia Moorehouse of Palatine, Illinois and Nina, Mrs. Bill Quade of Kingsley; nine grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at the First Baptist Church of Kiron Saturday, 8 September 1973 at 1 P.m. with Rev. Lee R. Giddings officiating. John Winquist sang "Old Rugged Cross" and "What a Friend" accompanied by Mrs. Ferne Wilson, Organist.

Pallbearers were Jerry Buller, Seldon Buller, Wayne Swanson, Dwight Winquist, Adelbert Sjogren and Lewellyn Larson.
