Mrs. Florence Isabella Meltesen, 66, of Odebolt died Monday, Sept. 19, 1977 at University Hospitals in Iowa City.

Services were at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Faith Lutheran Church in Odebolt. The Rev. Palmer Selstrom officiated with burial in the Hayes Township Cemetery south of Arthur.

Mrs. Meltesen was born Nov. 16, 1910 south of Arthur. She was the daughter of Nels Bergman and Ida Anderson.

On Nov. 26, 1934 she married Niles T. Meltesen at her parent's home. He survives.

She a spent her life as a housewife and was a member of the Faith Lutheran Church at Odebolt.

Survivors include: the widower, one daughter, Mavis Elizabeth Whitaker of Woodward; three sons, Phillip Eugene Meltesen, Rumson, N.J., Niles Thomas of Trenton, N.J. and James Meltesen of Des Moines: three sisters, Mrs. Vernon (Elsie) Lewis of Seattle, Wash., Mrs. Irving (Doris) Donalson of Vista, Calif. and Mrs. Donald (Ione ) Seaberg of Minneapolis, Minn.; four brothers, Floyd Bergman of Odebolt, Carl Bergman of Vista, Calif., Gene Bergman of Kiron, and Donald Bergman of Arthur; and eight grandchildren.
