I have not posted on this site previously, therefore, please excuse the inacuracies of my query. One census stated that they farmed in the Washington Twshp of Clinton County with his birth date of 1854 another census states the date of 1847- therefore is the confusion of birth year. We are trying to find some Iowa document that would have his parent's name on it - census' do not list these names, marriage certificate does not contain the names. We cannot find any document that lists the parent's or sibling's names - any suggestions? Hopefully, I posted a correct query. Thank-you,S.
