CLINTON — Tan Nguyen, age 75, of Clinton, died Tuesday, February 3, 2009, at Genesis East Hospital in Davenport. A Catholic Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, February 7th, at Sacred Heart Church in Clinton. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday at the Pape Funeral Home in Clinton with a Rosary to follow at 7:00 p.m. Burial will be in St. Irenaeus Calvary Cemetery. Tan was born in Central Vietnam on August 10, 1933, the son of Phong and Ruy Nguyen. He married Anna Hoang in Vietnam in 1953. Tan served with the South Vietnamese Navy during the Vietnam War. Tan came to the United States 27 years ago and was employed with Rastrelli’s. He was a member of the Prince of Peace Parish. Tan is survived by his wife, Anna Ngu Hoang; four children, Tom (his wife, Nhi) of Clinton, Simon (his wife, Anna) of Oklahoma City, My Nguyen of Oklahoma City and Ngoan (her husband, Phillip) Le of Galvaston, TX; nine grandchildren; a brother, Su Nguyen of Houston; and a sister, Ruy Nguyen of Norway. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son and a daughter.Death date: Feb. 3, 2009#
