BOLINGBROOK, Ill. — Shirley Ann (Nelson) Lisius, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on February 6th, 2009. She was born May 29, 1933, in Holdege, Nebraska, and passed away at her daughter’s home in Bolingbrook, IL. Shirley was a longtime resident of both Camanche and Clinton, IA, where she worked at Roses’ Furniture Store, and raised 4 beloved children, Curtis Lisius (Lori), Albany, IL. Teresa Lisius Engelhardt (Bob), Bolingbrook, IL. Rhonda Lisius Crowther, Snohomish, WA. and Jonathan Lisius (Tammy), Clinton, IA. From 1979-1991 she lived in Southern California again working in furniture sales. Shortly after her daughters moved to the Chicago area she followed, where she worked for Wick’s Furniture in Itasca, IL. until she retired.She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Annabell Nelson of Hastings, NE, and a granddaughter, Ashley Lisius of Albany, IL. In addition to her children, 8 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren, she is survived by 4 sisters and 1 brother, Dorothy Voss (Harold) of Hastings, NE. Carol Wheeler, Grand Island, NE. Nancy Davis (Harry), Denton, NE. Rosalie Stutzman, Cairo, NE. and Jim Nelson (Karen) of Buena Park, CA. Shirley loved her family and her Lord, she had a wonderful sense of humor and loved to dance. She will be eternally loved and missed until we see her again in Heaven. Funeral was private.
