CLINTON — Glennetta M. Houston age 90, of Clinton died Friday, February 13, 2009 at Mercy Medical Center North in Clinton. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, February 17th at the Pape Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Glennetta was born in Clinton on September 29, 1918, the daughter of William and Anna Scobey Wilson. She married Thomas J. Houston on June 28, 1942 in Kahoka, MO. Thomas died in 1970. Glennetta was a homemaker and had been employed as a nurse’s aid. She enjoyed crocheting and gardening. Glennetta is survived by four sons; Thomas, Jr. of Texas, Jerry, Robert and David of Clinton; three daughters; Thelma of Davenport, Rita of Clinton and Lela Mae of Washington; three step-sons; Donald of Hale, IA, Glen of Clinton and Gary of Monmouth, IA; 15 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren and several step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son Terry Houston; two step-sons, Thomas and his wife Joann Houston and Darrell Houston; a step-daughter, Beth Cartee and a sister, Elizabeth Parmatere.Death date: Feb. 13, 2009
