The Clinton Herald Saturday November 3, 1934 p. 5 Funeral services for Mrs. Wilhelmina Brandenburg, formerly of Clinton, who died yesterday morning in the home of her son, John C. Brandenburg, in Chadwick, Ill., will be held Monday afternoon. A prayer service will be held at 1:30 p.m. in the F.N. Pape funeral home, where the body now reposes and funeral services will follow at 2 o’clock in St. John’s Lutheran church. The Rev. John F. Shulz, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Oakland cemetery. Wilhelmina Wall was born July 5, 1848, in Pomerania, Germany. She was married to Fritz Brandenburg, Aug. 9, 1872, in Germany. Later they came to this United States and settled in Clinton county where Mrs. Brandenburg lived until the last year, when she made her home with her son in Chadwick, Ill. Her husband preceded her in death in 1928, and a son, Fred Brandenburg, died in 1927. Surviving her are two daughters, Mrs. Elizabeth Martensen of Elmhurst, Ill., and Mrs. William Wilke of Clinton, one son, John C. Brandenburg of Chadwick, Ill., and a brother, Louis Wall, of Germany, also 23 grandchildren. She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran church.
