CLINTON — Shelby L. Weimerskirch, 67, of Mercy Living Center South, Clinton, IA, died Saturday, December 20, 2008, at the living center. Funeral services were held Monday, December 22, 2008, at the South Chapel of the Lemke Funeral Homes, Clinton, IA. Interment will be in Clinton Lawn Cemetery, Clinton, IA. She was born December 11, 1941, in Switchback, WV, to Elsvan and Albenia M. (Crigger) Johnson. She attended the Northfork High School in Northfork, WV.She married Jim Weimerskirch on November 18, 1967, in Clinton, IA. He died July 7, 2001.She was employed with the former International Paper in Clinton, IA. Survivors include nine sisters, Mae (Wayne) Farmer, Itmann, WV; Betty Murphy, Bluefield, WV; Barbara (James) Woods, Bluefield, WV; Linda Johnson, Bluefield, WV; Brenda Johnson, Bluefield, WV; Ethel (Dale) Davis, Bluefield, WV; Cecil (Jim) Sheaves, Grottoes, VA; Carol (Avery Tooley) Johnson, Princeton, WV; one brother, Elsvan (Barbara) Johnson Jr., Oakvale, WV; one uncle, William “Bill” Crigger, Clinton, IA; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim; one sister, Shiela Johnson; and two brothers, Richard and Charles Johnson.Honorary caskets bearers will be Jim Sheaves, Nick, Jason, and Scott Schlotfeldt.
