Earl Steward Tracy, 59, son of William and Mary Ellen Steward Tracy, died Tuesday morning at University Hospitals, Iowa City, following an extended illness.

Born June 27, 1894, in Strawberry Point, he lived here his entire life. A number of years ago he was injured in a fall from a housetop and has been bedfast since that time. He received his education at Lenox college in Hopkinton and his interests were mechanics and building. He served as a carpenter until his injury.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and two sisters. Two sisters survive, Mrs. Will (Wilberta) Fliehler, Mrs. Willoughby MacTaggart (Florence), and one brother, Willferd M., all of Strawberry Point.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, Oct. 08, in the Methodist church in Strawberry Point with the Rev. Wayne L. Carlson officiating. Interment will be in the Strawberry Point cemetery.
