DIED - After a brief illness, of inflammation of the Lungs, the 15th Inst., Mrs. Cynthia M., Wife of James H. Glass, Esq., of this City, aged, 47 years and 7 months.
The deceased during her short residence in this community, had greatly endeared herself to a large circle of acquaintances. Her constant and devoted piety manifested itself through a meek, gentle and thoroughly unselfish life, failed not in a single instance to make friends of all who became acquainted with her.
We have seldom seen the funeral of an old resident attended by a larger concourse of sympathising friends than were gathered Monday morning at the Congregational Church to pay the last tribute of respect to the departed, and to mourn with the anguished stricken family.

-- --Same paper, page & date:
Our fellow townsman Jas. H. Glass is sorely afflicted. One week ago last Sabbath he followed to the grave the body of his youngest daughter, a lovely young lady seventeen years of age. On Monday of this week he again bowed his head before the grave of his companion.A large congregation of sympatizing friends attended the funeral ceremonies at the Congregational Church where Rev. Mr. Sloan dwelt touchingly upon the Christian life and and virtues of the deceased, which were prominent in an unusual degree.
A son of Mr. Glass, we are pained to add, was so ill as to be unable to attend the last services at the grave of his mother. An undisguised fear prevailed in the community that his disease might assume the same form, lung fever, as that which carried away his mother and sister, be we are glad to hear that he is improving.

Notes: she more than likely is buried in Pleasant Grove cemetery with her daughter who died just days earlier, - neither burial has been verified in that cemetery, but the information from the May 20th paper implies burial there.
