VOLGA: The death of Vern C. Puffett, World War I veteran, occurred Saturday at Truth or Consequences, N.Mex., where he had gone a few months ago to seek a more favorable climate due to his health.

His wife Myrl survives, also two sons, Richard and Charles; one grandson, Bernard; one brother, Merwyn Puffett; his stepmother, Mrs. Charles E. Puffett Sr., and other relatives.

The body was brought by train to Iowa, where funeral arrangements will be made.

Mr. Puffett farmed near Volga a number of years and in 1954, moved to town, which has since been his home.
