Funeral services for Mrs. Fred Farrington were held Saturday afternoon at the Gill Funeral home conducted by the Rev. Ernest L. True of Jesup. Burial was made in the Strawberry Point cemetery. As Nellie Fox, daughter of Daniel and Rachel Fox, she was born at Farmersburg, Iowa, on Aug. 10, 1869, and died Thursday morning after a lingering illness. She was married to Fred Farrington on May 21, 1893. To this union three children were born, one daughter Lucy preceded her mother in death at the age of 11. With the exception of two years living in town, the home was made on the farm southeast of town where they now reside. For over thirty years she was an invalid and confined to a wheel chair. Surviving besides her husband are two children, Horace at home, and Mrs. Merle (Grace) Pattison of Fayette, and two grandchildren, three sisters and four brothers, Mrs. Charles Russow of Edgewood, Mrs. Albert Warner of Lamont, Mrs. Joe Chapman of Indianapolis, Ind., Will of Lamont, Joe of Arlington, Charles of Vesper, Wis., and Ben of Westgate.
