Funeral services for John Morris, 99, were held Friday morning at St. Joseph's Church, Elkader, with the Very Rev. J. P. Taken, pastor, officiating. Mr. Morris died at midnight last Wednesday after a lingering illness. For many years he lived in the Cox Creek and Volga vicinity, later going to Elkader where he spent the past several years.

He is survived by two brothers, Thomas and Michael of Strawberry Point, several nieces and nephews and cousins.
