Death came early Sunday morning to Mrs. Eliza Rosenkrans to bring release after months of intense suffering from cancer.
Eliza Miller was born Nov. 15, 1862, near Strawberry Point, and was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Miller. Her childhood was spent in Lodomillo township and here she received her education. On December 25, 1879, she was united in marriage with Hezekiah Rosenkrans. Mr. Rosenkrans died December 30, 1933, just five days after the celebration of their fifty-fourth wedding anniversary. One son, Duane, was born to them and he is professor in Clemson College, in South Carolina. She was an active member of the Methodist church and of the Womens Christian Temperance Union. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon in the Methodist church, Rev. Warren Feller officiating, assisted by Rev. A. H. Meyer. Burial was made in Green Hill cemetery.
