DIED. At Luana, Clayton Co., Iowa, on Friday August 28th, at 5 P.M., Mrs. Wealthy M., wife of William H. Smith, formerly of Medina, Ohio, Aged 51 years, 7 months and 14 days.

The deceased was the mother of Mrs. Frank Hannahs of McGregor; she was well known in this city and universally beloved by acquaintances. Her bereaved husband and her daughter feel the loss most severely, but all who knew this admirable woman will share with them the sadness which now over-whelms them.

Mrs. Smith was almost a life member of the Methodist church. Her funeral sermon was preached by Elder Cameron, of Monona, from 2d Corinthians 4-7. We sincerely condole with the bereaved.
