Burial services conducted by the Wadena and Arlington Legion posts were held Sunday at Hill Crest cemetery in Volga for Pfc. Elmore Verl Bachtell, 31, who lost his life in a car accident Thursday, April 22.
He was born July 31, 1915, at Arlington, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Lester Bachtell. He served with the U.S. forces during World War II and lost an eye in the service of his country.
Services were held Sunday at Arlington in the Church of Christ, conducted by the Rev. W. H. Seeley.
His wife and parents survive, also brothers and sisters.
