Funeral services for Mrs. Fred Becker who died at her home near Giard early Tuesday morning following a year's illness, will be held at the Methodist church in Giard at 1:30 o'clock Friday afternoon. Mrs. Becker was long active in Women's Farm Bureau work and also the O.E.S.

Funeral services for Mrs. Fred L. Becker, 73, were held at the Giard Methodist church in Giard Friday afternoon, Jan. 23. The Rev. Robert Butler officiated, followed by O.E.S. services. Burial was in Pleasant Grove cemetery near McGregor. Mrs. Becker died at her home in Giard, Tuesday, Jan. 20, following a years illness.

Leonora P. C. Hagensick was born July 15, 1875, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. L. Hagensick in McGregor. She received her early religious training in the German Presbyterian church of McGregor of which she was a member for many years. On July 20, 1904 she was married to Fred L. Becker at Dubuque. They made their home on the Becker farm near Giard for many years. About eight years ago they retired from farming and have resided in Giard until the time of her death.

Mrs. Becker was an active member of the Giard Methodist church, Order of the Eastern Star, the White Shrine, and was also active in Farm Bureau work as long as her strength permitted.

Surviving are her husband and the three children, Marie, Irvin and Frederick, and seven grandchildren and a brother, W. H. Hagensick of Fairhope, Ala.

Those from a distance who attended the services were: Mrs. Madeline McGonigle of Los Angeles; Harry Proffitt of Hastings, Neb.; Robert Hagensick of Racine, Wis.; Mr. and Mrs. A. B. Goodenough and Mrs. P. D. Andrson of LaCrosse, Wis.
