Clayton County Register, 26 Sept. 1946.

STRAWBERRY POINT: Ralph Barnes, 72, died Friday at Davenport. Funeral and burial services were held here Sunday afternoon.

The son of James and Emma Moine Barnes, he was born at Strawberry Point in 1874. He was married to Allie Gaylord who died and was buried here last March.

Survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Wallace Rohlfs of Montague, Mich., a granddaughter, a sister, Mrs. Rodney Martin of Lakeport, Colo., two brothers, John and Guy of California. A son preceded him in death.

Mr. Barnes was for many years cashier in the State Bank here before going to Davenport in 1928.
