STRAWBERRY POINT: Fred Elbert Tracy, 79, died Monday morning at his home after several weeks' illness.

The son of Leonard and Ellen Connley Tracy, he was born Aug. 10, 1867 at Black Earth, Wis., and came to this community fifty-five years ago. On Dec. 21, 1880 he was married to Flora Steward, who died Oct. 24, 1943. He was married again June 21, 1944 to Mrs. Lucy Dolen, who survives.

Mr. Tracy farmed until moving to Strawberry Point, after which he served five years as town marshall.

Funeral services were held at the Methodist church Wednesday afternoon in charge of Rev. R. Park Anderson. Music was furnished by Mrs. Hannah Talcott and Miss Leola Carter, accompanied by Mrs. Lloyd Kramer.

Casket bearers were: Winnie Barnes, Ernest Eppler, M. F. Harwood, Earl Nichols, S. F. Schoentag and John Tracy. Burial was here.
