Clayton County Register, 09 May 1946.

The funeral service for Larry William Doeppke, infant son of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Doeppke, was held at Clayton Center church, Friday. He died four hours after his birth, April 24, at Finley hospital, Dubuque. An emergency baptism was given to the baby before he died.

Burial was made in the Clayton Center cemetery.

The mother, who is still in the hospital, is as well as can be expected.
