Funeral services for Mrs. Christ O. Christianson, 75, were held from the Witt funeral chapel at 1:15 o'clock Wednesday afternoon to the Highland Lutheran church at 2 p.m. The Rev. A. O. Nesset, pastor, officiating. Burial was in the adjoining cemetery.

Mrs. Christianson died at her home in Highland township Sunday, April 14, of a cerebral hemorrhage following three years of ill health. She was the last of a family of seven children.

Ingeborg Wikan was born in Highland township on Oct. 20, 1870, the daughter of Halvor and Ulvild Wikan. She received her education in the rural schools of the community. On March 04, 1897 at her parent's home in Highland township she was married to Christ O. Christianson. The couple lived on farms in Wagner and Highland townships until 1907 when they purchased the farm in Highland township six miles west of Elkader which has since been their home. Mrs. Christianson was a member of the Highland Lutheran church.

Surviving are her husband and two daughters, (Ona) Mrs. Millard A. Olson, Elkader: (Ruth) Mrs. George H. Anderson, West Union; six grandchildren, Shirley, Sheldon, Linda, Burnell and Helen Olson and Bradley Anderson, also several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by one son who died in infancy and a daughter, Ruth Gladys who died at the age of three years, also one sister, Mrs. J. H. Johnson and three brothers: Halvor Wikan, Lars H. Wikan, Bernt Wikan and two who died in infancy.

Pallbearers were: Harold Wikan, Robert Wikan, John Wikan, Elmer Christianson, Lawrence West and Arthur Johnson.

Flower girls were: Shirley Ann Olson, Linda Belle Olson and Barbara Kuehl.

Relatives from a distance who attended the funeral were: Mrs. Bertha West, Mr. and Mrs. Gerhard Groth and daughters, Harold Wikan, all of Decorah; Mr. and Mrs. Herman Stendal, Waukon; Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Sanders, Postville; Mr. and Mrs. Albert Christianson, Mr. and Mrs. Aubrey Guyer, all of Elgin; Mr. and Mrs. Ole Christianson, Siman Nelson, Mr. and Mrs. Emil Johnson, Mrs. G. Koland, all of Clermont; and Mrs. Nick Johnson, St. Olaf.
