MCGREGOR: Mrs. John Kramer, 72, died of a heart attack while mailing a letter at the post office. She was found seated on the steps by attendants at the Standard Oil station near by. She had spent the day with friends in Dubuque. After her return she had written a letter, then walked down to mail it, about 7:15.

Stella Church, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fayette Church, early settlers of McGregor, was born in McGregor. Her husband, who died about three years ago, was in the drygoods and clothing business in McGregor many years.

She is survived by a son, Louis Kramer of Dubuque and a sister, Mrs. Frank C. Sloane of McGregor. Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at the home, conducted by the Rev. Paxton Smith, pastor of the Congregational church. Burial was made in Pleasant Grove cemetery.
