Gaus, Frederick died 1862

DIED - At McGregor, Iowa, on Saturday, the 28th ult., at 6 1/2 P.M., of Diptheria, Frederick, son of Fritz and Antionette Gaus, aged 3 years, 11 months and 12 days.

~North Iowa Times, Wednesday, July 2, 1862; pg 2

Note: His parents(Fritz/Ferdinand & Antionette) removed to the Minneapolis vicinity. Fritz died in 1916 & is buried St. Mary's Catholic cemetery, Hennepin co. MN. More than likely Frederick is buried in either Pleasant Grove or St. Mary's Catholic cemetery, McGregor.
